Arrived at the sanctuary May 6, 2016.  Belle is a 15-year-old Mustang-Morgan Pony-X mare.  She was an owner surrender to Rowan County Animal Control.  She has passed a vet check for lameness, and has been vaccinated and dewormed.  She stood very well for the farrier and has nice healthy hooves. 

 

She is currently being worked with and evaluated by Stacey Carter of Heart Centered Horsemanship.  Belle is green broke but very gentle.  We have not experienced any bucking from her.  She has been ridden in an arena at a trot and has done some light trail riding with a confident horse leading the way.  She has learned to cross water and step over downed trees.   Has a good head on her shoulders and not easily spooked.  She is not a beginner's pony.
